Restoring your Toshiba Tecra to factory settings allows you to reset your computer to the settings it featured on the day you purchased it. While this process may be counterproductive if you plan to continue to use the computer for your own use, it can be a good idea to restore the computer to factory settings if, for example, you plan to give away or sell your computer. Restoring the factory settings clears all of your private data.
