The interior dome light inside your 2000 Ford Focus has three different power options that provide light within the vehicle. When the bulb burns out, it is important to replace it to maintain a well-lit cabin, especially after the sun goes down. You can find a replacement bulb at most auto parts stores, many online retailer websites or directly from your car's manufacturer.

Instructions

  1. 1

Turn the Ford's interior light to the “Off” position. The “Off” position is the middle position on the switch.

  2. 2

Use a flathead screwdriver to pry the bulb lens cover off. Position the screwdriver on the end of the unit opposite the power switch. The cover will come off easily with a little force. You will now have access to the light bulb.

  3. 3

Unscrew the light bulb from the fixture. Discard the old bulb. Screw a replacement bulb into the socket.

  4. 4

Place the lens cover back onto the fixture and push. The cover will snap back into place.
