Acer computers are bundled with a Microsoft operating system and Windows software that can be used to configure the computer in a variety of ways, including monitor adjustments. The Windows Control Panel on an Acer computer includes a section on monitor adjustments that let you rotate the viewing image on the monitor either 90 degrees or flip the display for a mirror image. The changes are simple and will work whether you're using an external monitor or laptop

Skill level:
Moderately Easy

  1. 1

Click the "Start" button on the lower left of the screen, then double-click "Control Panel."

  2. 2

Click on "Appearance and Personalization" to select "Display."

  3. 3

Click "Adjust Screen Resolution" under the Display categories.

  4. 4

Click the down arrow button to the right of "Orientation" to select from the rotation options. "Landscape" is the default setting that displays content in a horizontal orientation. "Portrait" rotates the image 90 degrees clockwise for a vertical display. The "Flipped" options display a mirror image.

  5. 5

Click "Apply" and "OK" at the bottom of the screen to save the changes.
