The PlayStation 2 Slim (PS2) is a more compact version of the original game console. Like the original, the PS2 Slim can not play backup copies of legally owned titles until you modify (or “mod”) it. Make a PS2 slide tool that will let you mod the PS2 Slim without having to open it up--voiding any warranty that might be in place. The slide tool modification requires a few household items but no special tools or materials. Once done, you can use the slim tool to enable the PS2 Slim to play backup copies of games while the original remains safely placed away.
