Building homemade exercise equipment can remove the expense and obstacles to motivation that a proper gym may provide. Dipping bars are an easy place to start for the beginner builder. Use dipping bars to strengthen the biceps, triceps, shoulders and the chest muscles.

Things you need
- 1 1/2 inch PVC pipe
- PVC connection joints
- Plastic nipples
- Elbow joint
- T joint
Cut two lengths of PVC pipe that are 23 inches in length. These are your cross bars.
Saw two lengths of tubing that are 16 inches for the top vertical tubing and two pieces that are 7 inches for the bottom vertical tubing. Cut four pieces of PVC 8 inches to create the horizontal feet.
Slide the vertical tubing into a T joint to create one long piece. Make four of these vertical tubes.
Connect the vertical tubes using a piece of PVC placed horizontally in the free hold of the T connect. You will have an H-shaped bar.
Slide a connector joint on each end of the 23-inch crossbar and slide it onto your H frame. Connect the 8-inch horizontal feet to the bottom of the frame using a T joint.
