The Compaq TC1100, a now-discontinued tablet PC designed for Microsoft Windows XP, addressed many of the problems in the previous TC1000 model. It features a Pentium M chip and up to 2 GB of memory. If you need to reformat its installation of Windows XP, do so from a repair partition situated on the hard drive.

    Click "Start"-->"Shut Down"-->"Restart" on your tablet PC.

    Click "F12" as your computer is starting up, before you reach the Windows load screen.

    Select "Recovery Partition" on the Boot menu using the arrow keys, and click "Enter."

    Press "F8" to accept the license agreement, then select "Factory Restore" from the list using the arrow keys.

    Press "Enter" to begin the factory restore. Highlight "Yes" and press "Enter" to confirm you accept full loss of personal data on the hard drive.
