A Garmin Forerunner 305 is a GPS, or global positioning system, designed to be used while working out outdoors, such as hiking, running or biking. The device features a heart rate monitor, allows you to keep track of your current pace as well as your pace on previous workouts and provides you with a GPS, all in a small device that can be worn on your wrist. If the unit freezes up on you or begins malfunctioning, you can reset the device.

Power off the Garmin Forerunner 305.

Press and hold down the "Mode" button.

Press and hold down the "Power" button at the same time.

Release both buttons once the unit powers on. It has now been reset.
