How to Enter the BIOS on an Asus Laptop

Asus manufactures a large variety of notebook computers with Intel and AMD processors. The basic input/output system (BIOS) is a program code (firmware) built in to the computer's motherboard that initialises hardware components on start-up. BIOS on ASUS laptops allows you to change the boot device priority to boot from a disk, change security features such as a password and a user access level as well as configure settings for the display, speakers and hard drives.

    Click the Windows "Start" button.

    Select the "Restart" option in the Start menu to reboot your ASUS laptop.

    Press the "Tab" key when the Asus logo appears on the notebook screen to display system boot messages.

    Press the key "F2" keyboard as soon as you see a text on the screen, "Press F2 to enter SETUP," to access the Asus laptop BIOS utility.
