Asus manufactures a large variety of notebook computers with Intel and AMD processors. The basic input/output system (BIOS) is a program code (firmware) built in to the computer's motherboard that initialises hardware components on start-up. BIOS on ASUS laptops allows you to change the boot device priority to boot from a disk, change security features such as a password and a user access level as well as configure settings for the display, speakers and hard drives.
