The MOV format is owned and regulated by Apple Inc. and it is specialised for encoding digital video files. PC users have numerous options when it comes to editing MOV files. Apple’s proprietary media player, QuickTime, is engineered to work natively with MOV files. In addition to being offered in a Windows version, the media player may be used to edit MOV files when users upgrade to QuickTime Pro. PC users also have the option of using freeware alternatives like MPEG Streamclip and Avidemux for editing MOV files.
