The Compaq Presario runs on a Windows Operating System. Rebooting your computer refers to the act of restarting the OS. Rebooting your computer is necessary in several scenarios: software completion, to apply system changes and to fix errors or a system that is no longer responding. Rebooting your computer causes it to shut down and then restart. You do not need a disk to reboot your computer. Access the Start Menu of your Compaq Presario to restart and load the OS.
