You can achieve a smaller nose bridge in a couple of ways. While some people opt for surgery, the easiest and least invasive way is to achieve the illusion using make-up. It's a trick used worldwide by celebrities and their make-up artists, and if it's good enough for Beyonce, it's good enough for us.

Things you need
- Light-reflecting foundation
- Foundation brush or sponge (optional)
- Liquid highlighter
- Small, soft make-up brush
- Bronzer two to three shades darker than your natural skin tone
- Strong-coloured lipstick
Apply a light-reflecting foundation make-up to your face. Using a foundation brush, sponge or your fingers, move in soft, downward strokes to achieve a smoother finish, covering your nose, including its bridge, as usual but paying no extra attention to the area.
Add liquid highlighter to your face. By squeezing a small amount of liquid highlighter onto the back of your hand, you will have greater control over the amount of product you use as opposed to applying it straight onto your face. Using a small, soft make-up brush, dab a small amount of highlighter in a line down the centre of your nose.
Also apply it onto cheekbones and underneath the eyebrow bone. This will bring the whole face together and stop the contouring on your nose from looking out of place.
Apply bronzer to your nose. Dip the make-up brush into your bronzer, and tap off any excess. In small, light touches, dab down both sides of your nose, next to the highlighted centre. This creates a shadow that, combined with the highlighting, plays with light/dark and gives the illusion of a narrower nose which increases the illusion of a smaller nose bridge.
As with the highlighting stage, it is important to contour the rest of the face to make the look more natural. A little bit of bronzer under the cheekbones makes all the difference.
Emphasise your lips with a strong colour of lipstick. This draws attention down your face and away from your nose bridge.
Tips and warnings
- Always choose a foundation shade to match your skin tone. If it's too pale, you will look like a clown; too dark and you'll look unnatural.
- Keep your contouring subtle. Too much light or shadow will only draw attention to your nose bridge rather than away from it.
