The Cisco Catalyst 2960 is an entry level enterprise-class switch that offers up to 48 power-carrying Ethernet ports, firewalling and basic routing features. The Cisco 2960 has traffic shaping and prioritisation features, and supports the rich configuration language that higher-end models of Cisco switches benefit from. If you happen to have an error in your configuration, or have locked yourself out of the switch, you will be able to recover it if you have physical access.
