How to Reset the TomTom One to a Factory Default

Updated March 23, 2017

You can customise the TomTom One in a number of ways. If you decide that you want to revert these customisations, such as your personal settings, saved itineraries or points of interest (POIs), you can reset the TomTom One to the factory default. This restores the device to its like-new state and clears all of your personal data from the TomTom.

Tap the "Menu" button on the touchscreen to bring up the TomTom's main menu.

Browse through the options until you arrive at "Change Preferences." Tap "Change Preferences."

Tap "Reset Factory Settings." This button has a large red icon next to it. The screen will display a warning; tap "Yes" to confirm that you want to reset the TomTom One to its factory settings.
