If you have a pair of Nike Air Force Ones and the laces become discoloured, then the shoes may begin to look shabby. The easiest course of action is to buy new laces. This will help your shoes look newer and fit better. Buying a new colour of laces will help you customise your shoes and make your shoes match your outfit and personal style.

Instructions

  1. 1

Remove the existing laces from the shoe, although retain the metal clip that comes with them. Clean the shoes using warm water and a toothbrush. Wait for the shoe to dry before proceeding.

  2. 2

Feed the lace through the metal clip, pulling the clip to the middle of the piece of lace. Feed one end of the lace through one bottom eyelet on the shoe, and then feed the other end through the other bottom eyelet. Pull both ends through until the metal clip is at the very bottom of the shoe.

  3. 3

Take the right-side lace and cross it over to the second hole up on the left side. Feed it down through the hole and pull through. Take the left-side lace and pull it through the second hole up on the right. You will now have begun the crossover pattern.

  4. 4

Cross the laces over, and pull them through the next available hole on the opposite side. This will create a crossover lattice effect, which will continue all the way up the shoe. Finish by placing the laces through the top hole of the shoe and pulling tight.

  5. 5

Repeat the process on the second shoe. Wear your Air Force Ones with jeans tucked into the tongue of your shoes to show off the laces.
