Ordinarily, if you sign in to Skype on a computer, you simply return to the same open application when you try to open it a second time. To log in on separate accounts at the same time via the same PC, you need to run "multiple instances" of Skype. The process is simple on a computer running Windows.

Open Skype and sign in. You now have one instance of Skype open on your PC.
Click "Start," then type the following into the search box, including quotation marks: "C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /secondary
Press "Enter." A second instance of Skype will open, allowing you to sign in simultaneously with another user name and password.
Tips and warnings
- If you are running Windows XP, hold the "Windows" button and "R" at the same time, or click "Start" and then "Run," to open the "Run" box and type the command.
