Microsoft Word is one of the most common programs used to create documents. Each version of Word adds more options and functionality to give users the option to make their documents unique. However, sometimes users experience problems with the most basic tasks. Some users report an inability to print in landscape (horizontal) format. Verify that the page orientation is set to "Landscape" in Word. Click the "Page Layout" tab, then click the "Orientation" button and select "Landscape" if it is not highlighted. Try printing the document again.
Set the printer's orientation to landscape manually. Click on the Office symbol, hover over the "Print" menu and select "Print." Choose the desired printer, then click "Properties."
