Making any changes to your BIOS may require you to restore it to its factory settings. On the Toshiba Qosmio laptop, you must use the “Escape” and “F1” keys before you can do any part of the restoration. The BIOS controls all of the technical details of your computer's hardware. You can use it to make changes to frequencies and speed of hardware, such as overclocking your processor and setting memory timing.
