How do I View an Aquarium Screen Saver on a Samsung TV?

Updated July 19, 2017

Playing an aquarium screen saver on your Samsung television can be easily accomplished by connecting your computer's monitor output to the television's video input. After that, all you will have to do is set up your computer to display the aquarium screen saver and then leave it to sit idle long enough for the screen saver to appear. You can try this to create the illusion of a large aquarium in your living room or to create an interesting conversation piece for your next gathering.

Right click an empty space on your desktop and select "Personalize."

Click on "Screen Saver."

Click the arrow under the "Screen Saver" heading and select the underwater screen saver that you wish to display.

Set the wait time to one minute.

Leave your computer idle for one minute to make sure that the screen saver activates.

Click the "Apple" menu in the top left corner of your screen and select "System Preferences."

Click the "Desktop and Screen Saver" button.

Select the "Screen Saver" tab.

Select the aquarium screen saver in the left pane of the window.

Drag the "Start Screen Saver" slider all the way to the left with your mouse.

Click the "Back" button, designated by an arrow pointing to the left.

Leave your computer idle for one minute to make sure that the screen saver activates.

Check to see what video inputs your Samsung TV offers and see if you computer has a compatible video output. If your Samsung TV does not have a VGA, DVI or HDMI video input, you will probably have to buy a video converter.

Connect a video cable to your computer's video out or monitor output openings. Again, the type of cable will depend on the type of input that your TV can receive.

Connect the other end of the video cable to the video input on your Samsung TV.

Turn your Samsung TV to the input channel where you plugged in your computer. You should be able to see your computer screen on the television.

Leave the computer idle for a minute and your screen saver will begin to display.

You will need to install an aquarium screen saver if you do not already have one installed. You can download some aquarium screen savers for free.
