How to Remove Yahoo Redirect Virus

The Yahoo Redirect virus redirects your Internet browser to fraudulent, promotional sites. It is a hijacker infection, which installs numerous malware infections, records your computer actions and prevents you from visiting antivirus Websites. Get rid of the Yahoo Redirect virus to secure your system and private data. Scanning your system with a antivirus program is one of the safest methods of removing the virus.

Download and install the free version of ThreatFire Antivirus (see Resources). Run the set-up and follow the prompts to complete the installation. Open Threat Fire Antivirus and scan your entire drive for the Yahoo Redirect virus. Wait for the scan to complete and check all the infections. Select the removal option and reboot your system.

Download and install HandyBits VirusScan Integrator (see Resources). Open the set-up file and complete the installation. Open HandyBits VirusScan Integrator and click "Scan for Viruses." Wait for the scan to complete and check all the infections. Delete the Yahoo virus infections and reboot your system.

Download and install the trial version of F-PROT Antivirus (see Resources). Run the set-up and follow the prompts to complete the installation. Open F-PROT Antivirus and scan your entire drive for the Yahoo Redirect virus. Allow the scan to finish and check all the infections. Remove the Yahoo virus infections and reboot your system.
