How to Update PowerDVD DX

Created by Cyberlink, PowerDVD DX is media player software for PCs. With its high-definition capabilities, PowerDVD DX was a modern program at the time of its creation, but has since become obsolete. With new technologies taking over, and newer versions of PowerDVD available, updating the software now offers a better media viewing experience.

    Navigate to the Dell PowerDVD DX download page (see Resources).

    Click "Download."

  3. 3

    Click "Save" in the "File Download" window, then click "OK."

    Select "Desktop" from the save menu.

    Close the download window.

    Double-click the icon for the downloaded file labelled "R152426.EXE."

    Write down the prompt that appears in the "Self-Extracting" window reading "C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R152426." This will be needed later.

    Click "OK."

  4. 4

    Close the "Self-Extractor" window.

  5. 5

    Click "Start."

  6. 6

    Click "Run."

  7. 7

    Type "C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R152426" in the textbox and click "OK."

    Pass through the onscreen prompts to complete the PowerDVD DX update.
