  1. 1

Connect your Blu-ray player to the Internet by connecting an Ethernet cable from its Ethernet port to the port on your wall, or on your router. If you do not have a wired connection, you can purchase a wireless bridge adaptor which will provide wired ports that are connected to your wireless network.

  2. 2

Register your Netflix-ready Sony Blu-ray player at Sony's My Essentials website (see Resources). You will receive a code which you will need to enter later, so write it down.

  3. 3

Link your player to your Netflix account by visiting the Netflix website (se Resources), logging into your account and clicking the "Your Account & Help" link in the upper-right corner of the screen. You will see a menu from which you should choose the "Activate a Netflix ready device" link by clicking on it. Enter the code that you got from the Sony site and click the "Activate" button.

  4. 4

Press the "Home" button on your Blu-ray player's remote control. Use the left and/or right arrows to select the "Video" option, and then use the down arrow to scroll to the "Netflix" channel. Press the "select" button in the middle of the directional pad. You can now select movies from your instant queue.
