Nero is a software suite used to burn and master CD and DVD discs. It can save, edit and burn image files, which are special data files used to store the complete data of a CD or DVD disc. These files are a convenient way to store backup data, and can allow you to use disc-dependent software on computers lacking an optical drive. One of the most useful features the Nero software suite offers you is the ability to burn these images directly to a flash drive for storage and easy use.

Skill level:
Moderately Easy

  1. 1

    Open Nero.

  2. 2

Insert your flash drive into your computer's USB port.

  3. 3

Select "Data Burning" from the Nero Smart Start menu.

  4. 4

Select the image file you wish to burn using the file browsing window.

  5. 5

Select your flash drive from the drop-down menu next to "Destination Drive."

  6. 6

Click the button labelled "Burn" at the bottom-right corner of the program window. This will begin the burning process. When the process is complete, your flash drive will contain the disk image selected.
