Though the BlackBerry Curve has a QWERTY keyboard, it still has its limitations. Inserting symbols into the phone is more difficult than it would be on a computer. The Curve does resolve this in a way that does not have you searching through many different symbols for you to choose.

Skill level:
Easy

Instructions

  1. 1

Open the message, memo, e-mail or other document and place the cursor where you want the symbol.

  2. 2

Press the "Sym" key on the keyboard to open the list of symbols.

  3. 3

Press the letter on the keyboard that corresponds with the backslash as shown in the "Symbols" window on the screen. This should be the letter "G" on the Curve.
