The Canon Pixma MX850 printer is a printer with networking capabilities. When you have a device that has network capabilities, it must have an IP address in order for it to connect to other devices over the network. At times, you may need to change the IP address on the Canon Pixma MX850 printer. In order to change the IP address, you need to use the included software for the printer.
