Many women are looking to add some volume to their hair to give themselves a more glamorous, fun look. Before, to pull off this look you would have to rat the back of your hair. Although you can still do this, ratting your hair can cause breakage and damage. Instead, you can use hair extension pieces to add some volume. With several clip-in pieces, you can create a volumizing and gorgeous look whenever you want it.

Instructions

  1. 1

Select hair extensions in a colour that is close to yours. Because real hair has different colour dimension, it is OK to purchase extensions in a shade lighter than your hair. Each hair piece should be about five inches wide.

  2. 2

Make a horizontal part in your hair from ear to ear. Hold the top section of hair up on the top of your head. Where the part is, simply clip in the hair piece.

  3. 3

Release the hair that you've gathered on the top of your head. Create a second horizontal part in the back of your head, one inch above the previous part. Again, insert a hair clip into the hair.

  4. 4

Release the hair again. Pull up only a small portion of hair at the crown of your head. Insert the third hair piece under the section of hair. Allow the last section of hair to fall down in place.

  5. 5

Comb through your hair using your fingers. The hair pieces will create an instant lift to the back and crown of your head. For more volume, you can place more hair clips in the back of your head. You can also add two hair pieces to each side of your head, as well.
