How to Reset an HP Officejet 7410

Updated July 19, 2017

When the HP Officejet 7410 All-in-One Printer has an ink carriage stall, paper jam, fails to respond or is in a condition where its normal printing process has become disrupted, a partial reset should be performed. Rebooting the HP printer should correct any problems you are experiencing. The most common complications are mechanical failures, mainly ink carriage stalls, and a simple partial reset will resolve this issue.

Disconnect the power cord from the HP printer and remove any external memory cards from its drive bay.

Press and hold the "#" button and the "3" key.

Reconnect the power cable whilst still holding the buttons down.

Release the button combination when the HP Office Jet starts up.
