Toshiba laptops manufactured after 2007 do not include system recovery discs with the computer at purchase. In place of a recovery DVD or CD, Toshiba added a recovery option that is built in to the computer. Setting up a Toshiba laptop recovery takes only a few moments for you to complete, although the computer may take several minutes to finish the recovery after you have started the process.
