If you want to listen to your computer audio on a home audio system or TV, you will need to connect the two with an AV (also called RCA) audio connection. While most PCs do not come with AV-out audio connections, there is a cheap cable that you can buy at nearly any electronics store that will convert your standard 3.5mm computer stereo audio to stereo AV. Once you have this AV cable, connecting it to your desktop is not difficult.
