FlashGet is a download manager application that accelerates download speed by splitting each file into 10 parts. All 10 parts are then downloaded simultaneously, which FlashGet says makes the download six to 10 times faster. Additionally, FlashGet ensures that all the Internet bandwidth is utilised for the assigned task. If you’re still not satisfied with the download speed, a little trick might be able to help increase the download speed even more.

Download the file you wish to download from FlashGet. When the download starts, FlashGet will prompt with its “Add file” dialogue box.
