The Virgin Media set-top box comes with "parental control" features, which allow you to lock out certain channels or programs that might contain material that is inappropriate for younger viewers. Only those with access to the PIN code for the set-top box are able to access a locked channel or program. In addition, only those with access to the set-top box's PIN code can remove a lock from the box. It's not a complicated procedure.
