Making a free printable card online is a cost effective way to create cards for your friends and family. Children especially love to make online cards for their family and friends because there are many sites that allow them to play around with the features on the card. Help your children make a birthday card for a friend's upcoming birthday party. Children can also design and print Christmas cards to send to their grandparents and other family members.

Instructions

  1. 1

Type the URL: printable-cards.gotfreecards.com in the address bar of your browser, and scroll through the selection of birthday cards on the main page.

  2. 2

Click on the card you would like to customise, which will take you to an editing page.

  3. 3

Select the "Cover" tab to personalise the front of the birthday card. Click on "Add Text" to write an additional message on the front of the card.

  4. 4

Choose a larger font if would like to increase the size of the text you have added to the card. Select from the various fonts such as Comic Sans and New Times Roman, and experiment with different text colours to make your message stand out on the card.

  5. 5

Upload a picture from your computer to add a bit of your own design to the pre-made birthday card. Re-size your image before uploading because a large picture will cover up the design already on the birthday card.

Click on "Inside" to design the interior of your card with a personalised message and your choice of font. Play around with the colour and the size of the font as you did with the outside of the card.

  7. 7

Consider uploading a photo on the inside of the card, as you will have more room for designing than you did on the front of the card.

  8. 8

Decide whether you want to "Print 1 Sided" or "Print Front & Back," which will bring up a print window for selecting printer options.

  9. 9

Hit "Print" when you have set up all the print specifications.

  10. 10

  4. 4
