Connecting speakers to a receiver can be difficult and tricky when looking for specific ports. Following the wires or cables and visualising where the signals go can aid you while you learn about audio connections. This will make your set-up much more efficient and easy to use. Locate the audio-out ports on the rear of your Pioneer receiver in the middle section, labelled "Speakers." Front, centre, surround and surround back are a little larger than the other ports and located on the left of the section labelled "Caution!" and "Attention! Electric Shock."
Place each end of the Bose speaker wire in each of the audio-out ports and the speakers. If you have the Bose 3 system, select both the two left and right ports under the front and centre section of "Speakers." If you have the Bose 5 system, you will need to connect the front, centre, surround and surround back ports to your speakers.
Turn the port knobs to lock-in all the cables until they are tight and secure.
Place speakers in their desired location for optimum audio testing and turn on each unit's power.
Play some music and select the correct speakers on the front dial of the Pioneer receiver. You should now hear your audio through the Bose Acoustimass speakers.
