Creating a private chat room is beneficial to those that need to speak privately over the Internet without any eavesdroppers or inappropriate visitors. There are several sites that offer free private chat rooms and other virtual services to manage the free private chat room. Creating a private chat room is easy and takes less than five minutes to complete.

Skill level:

  1. 1

Navigate to the Meebo website. There are four tabs at the top of the page labelled "meebo bar," "products," "about us" and "support." Click the "products" tab. Under this tab are seven new options labelled "messenger," "mobile," "rooms," "meebo me," "notifier," "firefox extension" and "repeater." Click the "rooms" option. Under the "rooms" option is button labelled "Create a room." Click this button and a new page labelled "get a room" populates.

  2. 2

Type the name of the room in the box located under the "Create Your Room" title. Choose the size of the font by clicking the drop down box and choosing either "Small," "Medium" or "Large." Locate the button labelled "Next" at the top right corner of the page. Click this button and a new "sign up" page appears.

  3. 3

Create a "Meebo ID" on the sign up page by clicking on the field next to "Meebo ID." Type a name in this field. Type in a password in the "Password" field. Type your e-mail address in the "Email" field and type the security capture message in the verification field below the capture.

  4. 4

Click "Create" at the bottom right corner of the page to create the chat room. A code will automatically generate to copy and paste in a personal Web page, blog or profile. Below the code, click the "Manage it!" button to begin managing the chat room.
