Making a collage is a do-it-yourself way to get a bunch of pictures into one creative display. The finished product leaves you with something you can hang up, but half the fun of making a collage is the actual crafting of it. Look through your picture collection and decide which picture you want to use to make your collage. Establish a theme to make the picture selection process easier. Perhaps you want to make a collage of all your vacations or a collage of only your female family members. Establishing your theme upfront will save you time when constructing your collage.
Put the pictures you select in their own folder so they are easy to find when you are ready to open them in Microsoft Paint. Right-click the desktop and hover the mouse over "New" then select "Folder". Name your folder "Collage Pictures". When you see a picture you want included in your collage, right-click on it and select "Copy". Then go back to the collage pictures folder, right-click inside of it and select "Paste".
Go to "Start" from your task bar, then select "All Programs", "Accessories" and "Paint" to open Microsoft Paint.
Click "Image" at the top of the screen then select "Attributes". Here you can change the width and height of the page to the size you desire.
Click Edit and select "Paste From". A menu will appear where you will be able to select the pictures you put on your collage. Navigate to the desktop and select the collage pictures file. Select the picture you want to start with and click "Open". You will have to do this every time to open all the pictures you want on your collage.
Click on the picture and move the mouse to drag the picture where you want to place it on the sheet. When you are done setting your picture, repeat steps 5 and 6 until the collage is complete.
