Sidi bike shoes are secured to a rider's feet using a variety of plastic and elastic straps, depending on the model. These adjustable straps are designed to hold each Sidi bike shoe snuggly to the foot under the most extreme conditions a cyclist could encounter. You remove the custom-fitted bike shoe by releasing the lock on the strap and sliding your foot out.

Slide your middle and index fingers under the two tabs at either side of the Calliper bucker. The Sidi bike shoe Calliper buckle looks similar to the plastic buckle on a ski boot or snowboard shoe.

  3. 3

Pinch the heel of the Sidi bike shoe with your free hand and pull the heel away from your foot to remove the shoe completely.

  1. 1

Place your middle and index fingers on the two red tabs at either side of the Ultra SL buckle and press toward the shoe. The Sidi bike shoe Ultra SL buckle resembles the Calliper buckle except for the spoon-shaped lever in the centre and the red tabs on the sides.

  3. 3

Pinch the heel of the Sidi bike shoe with your free hand and pull the heel away from your foot to remove the shoe completely.

  1. 1

Locate the High-Security Velcro straps on Sidi bike shoes near the toe.

  2. 2

Pinch the end of the Velcro strap firmly between your thumb and index finger.

  3. 3

Pull straight up to separate the two sections of the High-Security Velcro and slide your foot out of the Sidi bike shoe.
