Most computers come with built-in graphics adaptors. These are fine for most everyday usage, but there are times when they're not enough. Today's games and HD-intensive movies require powerful graphics adaptors to showcase their video. That's why computer makers such as Dell make it possible to disable the video graphics adaptors on their systems, including the OptiPlex 755 desktop system, so you can install your own.

    Power on the Dell OptiPlex.

    Hold down the "DEL" key as the system boots up to enter the basic input/output system (BIOS).

    Use the arrow keys to move to the "Video" section in the BIOS screen that pops up. Press "Enter" to enter the video menu.
