How to Add Google to the Task Bar

Google is a major corporation that is instrumental in the fields of networking, advertising and Internet search. The Google search function is an invaluable resource when it comes to finding information on the Internet, and placing the Google toolbar on your browser's task bar will allow you to perform a number of functions, including instant searches, the ability to share Web pages with your friends and the ability to translate Web pages from other languages.

Go to the Google Toolbar download page (see Resources).

Click "Install Google Toolbar." You will be taken to a terms and conditions page.

Click "Accept." This will start the download.

Click "Run" when the download has finished, and you are given a choice regarding what to do with the program. This will install the Google Toolbar on your taskbar.

Click "Agree." This will start the download.

Click "Install Now" when the download is finished.

Tip

Google Toolbar is only available for Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. You will not be able to install it on browsers like Opera or AOL.
