How to Restore a Dell Latitude D600

The Dell Latitude D600 laptop has a factory-prepared partition that includes a full system restore. The system restore partition will return the laptop to the factory condition with all of the factory settings and configuration. The process will eliminate all of the data on your laptop’s hard drive, so only complete this restore when necessary or after backing up the data you want to keep.

    Disconnect any external drives, memory cards or extra devices. Turn the power on to your Dell D600.

    Watch the boot process carefully. Press the “Ctrl” and “F11” keys simultaneously, release them and repeat the process in rapid succession.

    Highlight “Restore” and press “Enter.” Select “I Agree” and press “Enter.” Choose “Restore to Factory Settings” and press “Enter.”

    Reboot the D600 when prompted to do so, after the restore process is complete.
