Tecra is a line of laptop computers manufactured by Toshiba. A wide range of models exist within the Tecra line, ranging in power and performance. Every Toshiba Tecra laptop uses a Basic Input/Output System, or BIOS, to control some of the computer settings. Protecting the BIOS with a password prevents unauthorised users from changing settings. The BIOS password can be deleted if there is no risk of unauthorised use.
