Google is the most dominant search engine available today. To help make searches more relevant for their users, Google has created search engine pages that are unique to different regions or countries, including Google UK in the United Kingdom. Because of the ease of use and relevancy of Google, many people choose to make the search engine their home page. Making Google UK your home page is slightly different for each browser.
Navigate to the Google UK website by entering "www.google.co.uk" into your browser navigation bar. Hit the enter key on your keyboard or the arrow at the right of the navigation bar. This will pull up Google UK on your computer's screen. The Google UK Web page will look exactly like the traditional Google page with the exception of the letters UK under the "l" on Google.
Click on the wrench on the upper-right corner of your computer screen. A pop-up menu will appear. Click on "Options." The "Options" pop-up window will appear automatically.
Go to the "Basics" tab on the "Options" menu. The "Basics" tab is the first tab at the top of the "Options" menu and will look raised when selected. The first area of the "Options" menu is "On Startup." Select the radio button next to "Open the Following Pages." Click "Use Current." The website address for Google UK will appear inside the box. After Google UK appears in the box you select the "Close" button with your mouse.
Open Firefox and enter the Web address for Google UK into the browser's navigation bar at the top of the screen. The Google UK page will appear on your computer's screen.
Drag the icon next to the Google UK Web address the "Home" button at the top of the screen. Making a website your home page is very easy with Firefox. Hover your mouse over the icon directly to the left of the Google UK Web address in the browser navigation bar.
Click on the icon and hold your mouse button down. Drag the icon to the "Home" button at the top of the screen which is located directly to the icon's left and release your mouse button. Google UK is now your home page.
Open Internet Explorer and navigate to the Google UK home page by entering the Web address (www.google.co.uk) into the browser's navigation bar at the top of the screen. Press the "Enter" button on your keyboard or click the blue, right-facing arrow with your mouse. The Google UK home page will appear on your screen.
Move your mouse over the "Tools" tab, which is located on the upper right of the computer screen under the search box. Click on the "Tools" tab with your mouse. A drop-down box will appear. Click on "Internet Options" at the bottom of the drop-down box. A pop-up box will appear with the "General" tab already selected.
Click the "Use Current" button under the "Home Page" section at the top of the "General" tab. The Web address for Google UK will appear in the text box above the "Use Current" button.
Click on the "Apply" button with your mouse. Google UK is now the home page for your computer. Close the "Internet Options" pop up by clicking on the red "X" sign at the top right of the box.
