You can fix most Internet Explorer errors for free. If you notice that your IE browser is acting sluggish, has numerous pop-ups, or freezes often, there are probably errors within the browser. Errors can come from viruses and registry changes. Sometimes software interferes with the browser. However, there are built-in buttons to help you fix any problem with your Internet Explorer browser. If the buttons do not work for you, you may have to reinstall the IE browser.

Open the IE browser on your computer.
Go to "Tools > Internet Options" on the toolbar menu.
Go to "Advanced" and click "Reset." The "Reset" button restores the defaults on the browser and repairs any errors.
Hit "Reset" again in the "Reset Internet Explorer Settings" menu box.
Close and reopen Internet Explorer.
Go to the Microsoft Downloads page to download the appropriate version of Internet Explorer. The best method is to download the newest version of the browser (see Resources).
Click on the "Download" link and hit "Save." Save it to your desktop to quickly find it. Wait for the file to download.
Double-click on the file icon after it downloads to install Internet Explorer. Follow the instructions on your screen to customise the browser.
Tips and warnings
