The Microsoft Office PowerPoint presentation software allows you to create and manage various slides for a slide show presentation. When you edit your PowerPoint presentation before sharing it with other you should consider that there maybe hidden data and items that you can’t see when editing, but they become visible when the slide show is playing. You can make sure to remove unwanted hidden data, such as headers and footers, by using the Document Inspector feature.

Open the Microsoft PowerPoint file that you want to remove a hidden footer. Click on the “Microsoft Office” button if you’re using PowerPoint 2007 or click on the “File” option for PowerPoint 2003.
Click on the “Save As” option and then enter a new name for your file in the “File name” box. Click on the “Save” button so that you save a copy of your PowerPoint file.
Click on the “Microsoft Office” button or “File” option again and then click on the “Prepare” option. Click on the “Inspect Document” option and the Document Inspector dialogue box will open.
Click on the box next to the “Headers and Footers” field and then click on the “Inspect” option. Review the results, which should show in which slides the hidden footers appear.
Click on the “Remove All” button and the hidden footers will be removed from your PowerPoint presentation.
