The free Adobe Acrobat Reader is a very useful program, and one that many Internet users are already familiar with. Many websites use the PDF document format that Adobe Acrobat reader uses. This allows computer users to read online spreadsheets and other documents, no matter what type of software packages they have installed on their computers. Resetting the printer settings within Adobe Acrobat Reader can make the program even more useful and versatile.

    Log on to your computer and open a PDF document. The PDF document will automatically open with Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can also open Adobe Acrobat Reader by clicking on the "Start" button, choosing "All Programs" and selecting "Adobe Acrobat Reader" from the list.

    Click on the "File" button and choose"Print Setup" from the menu. Click the drop-down button next to the printer name and select the printer you wish to use.
