For your PS3 wireless headset (or any wireless PS3 peripheral) to work, it must first be synced to the PS3. Officially, the PS3 refers to this as "pairing." Once synced to your PS3, the headset can be used in any game or application that supports it. While you have the option of using the official or third-party wireless headsets, almost any Bluetooth headset will work on the PS3.
