Sentry dial safes have either a three number or four number combination lock. The combination must be dialled in the proper sequence the correct number of times to unlock the safe. Sentry recommends testing the combination several times with the door open on first use to make sure the sequence of numbers is properly recorded. The combination on three-number Sentry dial safes cannot be changed. The combination on four-number Sentry dial safes can be changed if needed.
