The Xbox parental controls allow you to protect your children from questionable game and Xbox Live content. When your children are older or out of the house, you can disable the parental controls. All you need is the password.

    Turn on the power to your Xbox. Navigate to “My Xbox.”

    Open the “System Settings” menu. Choose “Family Settings,” then “Console Controls.”

    Locate the “Turn off Family Settings” option and click it to deactivate the family controls. Enter the parental control password when prompted.
