How to Reset Bose 321 GS

Updated March 23, 2017

The Bose 3-2-1- GS is a progressive-scan DVD home entertainment system. Bose recommends resetting the 3-2-1 GS sound system if the unit is frozen, unresponsive or if you cannot hear the sound. Resetting the unit may solve intermittent problems. The Bose 3-2-1 GS system does not have a reset button. To reset the system, you'll need to unplug a special cable, according to the troubleshooting section of the 3-2-1 GS owner's manual.

Access the area behind your Bose 3-2-1 GS set-up to view the connections. Be careful if you have to move its case or table when doing so.

Locate the cable running between the Bose display unit and the "Acoustimass" power module. This is the amplifier that powers your speakers. Unplug the cable at either end. Wait approximately one minute.

Plug the cable back in. This resets the system. After a few seconds, you'll see the "Bose 3-2-1" logo appear on the display unit. This lets you know your system is ready for use.
