You can create your own display case or cabinet out of transparent acrylic to show off your Challenge coins. Just ask your local craft store where you can purchase the acrylic to cut it to the correct size you need. An acrylic box will protect your coins from dust, and it will help to keep them safe from theft. Acrylic is an excellent medium for a coin display box because it’s translucent and it won’t shatter.

Things you need
- Measuring tape or ruler
- One 10-inch by 10-inch by 1/4-inch acrylic piece
- Two 10-inch by 9 3/4-inch by 1/4-inch acrylic pieces
- Two 9 1/2-inch by 9 3/4-inch by 1/4-inch acrylic pieces
- Acrylic glue (pointed applicator included)
- Acrylic cleaner
- Paper towels
Measure your Challenge coins and decide how large you want to make your display box. For example, you may wish to make your box 10 inches by 10 inches by 10 inches. Leave the bottom part open so you can easily place the box over the top of your coins for display on a counter or table.
Place one of the 10-inch by 9 3/4-inch pieces on a table top. Choose one of the 9 1/2-inch by 9 3/4-inch pieces and place the longer edge at a 90-degree angle to the short side of the piece that is resting on the tabletop.
Put a thin line of glue against the inner seam of the two pieces using a pointed applicator. The glue will seep in between the two acrylic pieces. Hold the pieces in place for a few minutes, then release them and allow the glue to dry for 20 minutes.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 with the second 9 1/2-inch by 9 3/4-inch piece. Position it on the opposite side of the first 90-degree angle in order to make the acrylic pieces form a U-shape.
Place the second 10-inch by 9 3/4-inch acrylic side piece on the tabletop. Carefully lift the partially finished U-shaped box and place the open side onto the piece that is flat on the tabletop. Glue along the two seams and hold the pieces together for a few moments. Let the pieces stand alone for 20 minutes.
Put the last acrylic piece flat on the tabletop. Put one of the open ends of the box on top of the piece that is flat on the tabletop and glue all four of the seams. Allow the box to dry for 24 hours.
