How to clean palladium jewelry

Updated February 21, 2017

Palladium, a white metal with the appearance of white gold or platinum, resists tarnish and wear. With a price comparable to 14k white gold, palladium is an affordable alternative to platinum. Palladium is hypoallergenic, making it ideal for those sensitive to other metal jewellery. Clean palladium jewellery regularly with prepackaged jewellery cleaner or soap and water to keep it bright and shining.

Fill a small container with 1/2 tsp of mild dish soap and warm water. Place the palladium jewellery in the solution. If you're using the prepackaged jewellery cleaner, place the jewellery into the solution. Allow it to soak for five minutes.

Remove the jewellery from the soap or cleaner and brush it with a small brush or wipe it with a soft cloth.

Rinse the palladium jewellery in cool water.

Dry the palladium jewellery with a soft cloth.
