The BackTrack Linux operating system is designed primarily for penetration testing purposes. Log in to BackTrack and then click on the "Terminal" link on the Desktop to open a Terminal command prompt.
Type "network -eth 1 start" into the window and press "Enter."
Type "wif -eth 1 -reg activate" and press "Enter." Once the message "Success!" appears, your driver is installed and you can use your wireless card with BackTrack.
